A Delegation Composed of Professor Ye Yiduo and Associate Professor Ye Ziqing from the School of Psychology, Fujian Normal University Visited Our School for Academic Exchanges

On the morning of June 8, 2026, an academic lecture co-hosted by the Social Science Division and the School of Public Policy and Administration of Nanchang University was successfully held in Room A442 of the Law Building. This event aimed to further explore the developmental approaches of mental health education in the New Era and deepen faculty and students’ comprehension of psychological education under the context of the Education Consortium. The keynote speech was delivered by Professor Ye Yiduo, Doctoral Supervisor from the School of Psychology, Fujian Normal University, with Associate Professor Ye Ziqing from the same school accompanying the delegation. Centering on the cutting-edge theme Mental Health Education in the Context of Education Consortium: Theoretical Reconstruction and Paradigm Shift, they delivered an inspiring academic feast integrating profound theoretical insights and practical implications for more than 40 teachers and students in attendance.

During the lecture, starting from the prevailing general trend of constructing Education Consortia in the contemporary education sector, Professor Ye Yiduo profoundly analyzed the opportunities and challenges confronting mental health education against this macro backdrop. He pointed out that alongside the integration of educational resources and the advancement of collaborative education models involving multiple social stakeholders, the traditional theoretical framework and working paradigm of mental health education are in urgent need of renewal.Professor Ye systematically elaborated on the reconstruction of the core concepts of mental health education within the framework of Education Consortia, with a focused discussion on the paradigm shift from a problem-oriented approach to systematic construction. He proposed that future mental health education should move beyond isolated individual intervention toward the systematic development of an ecological system. He emphasized the collaborative function of families, schools, communities and even social organizations in psychological education, so as to build a more resilient mental health support network covering the entire life cycle of individuals.

Endowed with profound academic attainments and abundant practical experience, Professor Ye Yiduo illustrated the specific pathways of theoretical reconstruction and the practical implications of paradigm shift in an accessible yet in-depth manner, supported by numerous vivid real-world cases. He stressed that practitioners engaged in psychological education ought to cultivate a broader vision, embed students’ psychological development into all scenarios of their daily lives and academic studies, and realize the transformation from passive crisis intervention to proactive cultivation of positive psychological qualities through multi-party coordination.The lecture was held in a warm and lively atmosphere. During the interactive session, Professor Ye patiently and elaborately responded to questions raised by teachers and students centering on dilemmas in home-school collaborative education and the cultivation of students’ psychological resilience.

This lecture not only offered teachers and students of Nanchang University a precious opportunity to engage in face-to-face exchanges with a leading domestic expert in psychological education, but also deepened their understanding of cutting-edge developments in mental health education. Participants unanimously remarked that Professor Ye’s viewpoints were highly enlightening, which provided novel ideas and orientations for them to better interpret and implement psychological education under the Education Consortium framework in teaching, scientific research and student administration. The successful delivery of this lecture stands as another vivid practice of Nanchang University’s persistent efforts to advance interdisciplinary integration and elevate its research capacity and social service competence in humanities and social sciences.
